Mike is working with the Christmas in Action

1

Spartanburg, South Carolina, December 15, 2011 .Mike is working with the Christmas in Action organization based in Spartanburg and with the Spartanburg Habitat for Humanity non-profit in order to address some issues of community blight in the Una area.  Mike recently met with Jamie Nelson, Chief of the Spartanburg County Code Enforcement Department and his staff and with Joan Moore, Director of Christmas In Action Spartanburg, in order to bring structural improvements to the fencing surrounding the Habitat Village located in Una.

Mike, Jamie and Joan met with Una neighborhood resident and Citizens Crime Watch Captain Luther Clowney about additional concerns of abandoned trailers, illegal drug activity, vandalism, and destroyed fencing in the area.  Code Enforcement was able to immediately respond to the concerns shared on that day by Mike and Mr. Clowney with two abandoned trailers automatically being condemned and being placed for notice with the Sheriff’s Office for known area of criminal activity.  Way to go, Mr. Clowney and crew.
